We are looking for people ready to share, build, and grow with our company.\nReporting to the maintenance Planning Superintendent, plan and schedule Power Distribution & Site Infrastructure maintenance work, internal projects, as well as working closely with other maintenance planners on supporting timely and necessary repairs on Power Distribution assets and Site Infrastructure.\nMain Accountabilities\nProvide technical/operational input into maintenance procedures and systems to ensure operational readiness.\nEffective and thorough capability in the utilization of SAP computerized maintenance management system.\nCollaborate with necessary department resources to develop work scope, create accurate plans, prioritize material delivery, and schedule work based on available resources.\nReview and prioritize maintenance work requests with other team members.\nCreate and update standard jobs (task lists) for frequent and repeat work.\nCreate and update equipment bill of materials (assemblies) for all assets.\nEnsure accurate work order statuses as per the Baffinland Work Order Life Cycle.\nAct as principle contact and liaison between the maintenance department and operations groups\nEnsure maintenance service in a timely manner to ensure high equipment availability and performance.\nReview work requests for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead time, correct equipment identification, proper charge number (if applicable), proper authorization, and discuss details with originator of the work order.\nActively participate in planning and scheduling meeting with operation partners to finalize priority of work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary time leads.\nContinuously improve job estimates, maintenance processes, planning, and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors, maintenance leads, production supervisors, engineers and production planners.\nCompile, update, and distribute backlog reports and other mandated control reports and KPIs.\nCreate a weekly maintenance schedule and 4-week rolling plan.\nCreate and continually update maintenance programs and schedules and equipment parts lists (BOMs).\nCoordinate and schedule maintenance contractors.\nThis list is not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be required.\nMain Qualifications\nRed Seal Millwright Certification\nMinimum five (5) years of maintenance planning and scheduling in facility maintenance experience\nProficient working knowledge of SAP computer maintenance management system\nProficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software\nJob Location\nMary River Mine Site, NU, CanadaCompensation\nCompensation for this position is aligned with Baffinland’s approved compensation framework and current market conditions.
