Information Systems Security Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a systems security engineer, you can identify the tool, security system, or device needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experienceto lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will influence the direction of SAP cloud implementation in the USAF to protect infrastructure.

On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge ofnetwork and cyber devices. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experiencein Palo Alto, data transport, Cisco, and Splunk, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.

In this role, you’ll closely impact USAF Special Access clients by helping connect disparate classified systems to the cloud. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You’ll Work On:

• Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
• Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
• Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experienceimplementing NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• 3+ years of experienceproviding leadership as an ISSO or ISSM
• Experiencewriting or reviewing RMF artifacts for ATO accreditation packages
• Experienceanalyzing compliance and vulnerability scan results, and implementing appropriate mitigations
• Experiencesupporting network servers, devices, or protocols
• Experienceusing SEIM tools such as Splunk or Elastic
• Experienceinterfacing with internal and external SMEs such as PMs, SCAs, and AOs
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experiencesupporting JSIG in classified environments
• Experiencewith eMASS
• Experiencein Special Access IT
• Knowledge ofcloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Bachelor's degreein Cybersecurity
• DoD 8140 Security Architect Advanced Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance is required.
