KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for providing world class operational support for the investor relations, finance, and fund management teams across Bain Capital Credit teams
- Lead all aspects of the investment operations, with primary focus on the reconciliation functions, for the Credit businesses across multiple investment strategies and asset classes: not limited to, syndicated bank loans, bonds, structured products, collateralized loan obligations
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day work of a global team - both internal and external teams - setting priorities and ensuring consistent quality, timeliness, and accuracy across all deliverables
- Build, manage and enhance relationships with internal clients and external partners, including agent banks, trading counterparties, administrators and custodians
- Own the ongoing relationship with CLO trustees, ensuring service levels, reporting timelines, and data quality expectations are consistently met
- Develop, modify and manage workflows and procedures designed to increase controls and improve efficiency
- Oversee the accuracy of daily/monthly reconciliation of cash and positions between internal books/records and trustee statements across CLOs and structured products, resolving discrepancies with trustees, third parties, and internal teams
- Lead break resolution and analysis for outstanding reconciliation items, driving timely root cause identification and remediation
- Track and report key reconciliation metrics, including break volume, age, materiality, and resolution time to senior management
- Lead root cause analysis of data quality issues related to specific investment strategies and assets
- Oversee the accuracy of loan servicing activity for bank loan positions, including funding, paydowns, rollovers, and interest rate resets, by comparing internal records to trustee and agent data
- Oversee the accuracy of loan-level data, including spreads, maturities, and amortization schedules, maintained in portfolio accounting systems relative to agent and trustee sources
- Oversee corporate actions processing, including amendments, extensions, repricings, and refinancings, affecting loan positions, validating accuracy against agent and trustee records
- Oversee interest and principal waterfall calculations, validating distribution amounts against trustee calculations ahead of payment dates
- Manage the warehouse-to-CLO tie-out process at closing, overseeing that cash and funding positions reconcile cleanly across all parties
- Lead operational readiness for CLO fund launches, coordinating internal stakeholders and external parties, to ensure timely, accurate closings
- Support new deal and position onboarding, ensuring static data setup is accurate and reconciled against trustee and administrator records
- Establish go-forward set of actions for team to execute and track progress and control
- Escalate and manage operational risk issues, including error tracking and remediation
- Responsible for staff development and coaching of all direct reports
- Candid and transparent communication with direct reports and management team
DESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION
- 8 - 10+ years of experience in a complex financial services industry
- Prior Management experience within Credit Operations required
- BS or BA with finance and accounting basics
- Experience with Bloomberg and other trading and settlement software platforms
- Familiarity with legal documents and credit agreements
- Experience in Advent Geneva preferred

Compensation:
Expected Annual Base Salary $120,000 - $130,000
Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
