You’ve designed and delivered infrastructure that handles replication, consensus, and fault tolerance at scale, you set the technical direction for engineering teams, and you operate with the organizational influence that comes with Principal-level responsibility. You’ll be shaping the architecture of a data management platform trusted by some of the world’s largest enterprises — with the scope to make decisions that define how the system evolves for years to come.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nDefine the architectural direction for Java-based distributed storage systems across the engineering organization.\n\nEstablish and enforce standards for replication, consistency, and high-availability design at enterprise scale.\n\nLead the most complex and strategically significant distributed systems initiatives from design through delivery.\n\nServe as the organizational authority on consensus protocols (RAFT, Paxos, Ratis) and their application in production.\n\nInfluence engineering strategy and roadmap decisions as a senior technical voice across teams and leadership.\n\nMentor staff and senior engineers, elevating distributed systems expertise across the organization.\n\nRequirements\n\n10+ years of experience in IT roles.\n\n5+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in distributed systems or storage engineering.\n\nExpert knowledge of distributed storage architecture and large-scale replication design.\n\nDeep, production-proven experience with consensus protocols such as RAFT, Paxos, or Apache Ratis.\n\nExtensive background in high-availability and fault-tolerant system design at enterprise
