You write Scala or Java, you’ve worked on stream or batch processing infrastructure, and you know how to reason about distributed systems under load. You’ll be contributing to open source data platform technology that leading enterprises rely on to process and move critical data — work that rewards both systems thinking and careful, detail-oriented engineering.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nDesign and implement distributed system components in Scala or Java for large-scale data processing infrastructure.\n\nWork on stream and batch processing systems, ensuring they move data reliably and efficiently at scale.\n\nApply distributed systems principles to problems around fault tolerance, consistency, and throughput.\n\nLeverage JVM performance knowledge to diagnose and address processing bottlenecks in production.\n\nCollaborate with data and platform engineering teams to deliver distributed solutions that meet real-world requirements.\n\nContribute to code reviews, engineering standards, and technical discussions across the team.\n\nRequirements\n\n5+ years of experience in IT roles.\n\n3+ years of experience building distributed systems with Scala or Java as the primary language.\n\nStrong foundation in distributed data processing design and operation.\n\nExperience with stream or batch processing frameworks and large-scale pipeline infrastructure.\n\nSolid understanding of JVM performance fundamentals.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in English.\n\nNice to have\n\nOpen source contribution experience is a
