We remain committed to providing top quality products, service, and value to our customers.\nMaintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift\nManchester, NH\nClassification:\nNon-Exempt\nReports To:\nMaintenance Supervisor\nJD Review Date:\nAugust 2024\nJob Summary/Objective:\nThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, building utilities, and facility systems. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability of equipment while adhering to safety and food manufacturing standards.\nEssential Functions:\nEquipment Maintenance:Perform daily and weekly equipment startups, ensuring smooth operations.\nSet up production lines and make necessary equipment tooling changes.\nTroubleshoot and repair a range of process equipment, including mixers, depositors, metal detectors, conveyors, shrink film equipment, printers, labelers, and scales.\nConduct preventive maintenance to maintain equipment in optimal working condition.\n\nFacility Maintenance:Perform daily inspections of refrigeration equipment, roof areas, utility rooms, and other critical facility spaces.\nRespond promptly to maintenance calls from various production departments, providing support and troubleshooting assistance.\n\nCompliance and Documentation:Follow company procedures and safety protocols while performing all tasks.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.\n\nCompetencies:\nProficient in mechanical and electrical repairs.\nAbility to diagnose and replace mechanical components (e.g., bearings, shafts, chains, v-belts).\nSkilled in troubleshooting electrical failures and replacing components (e.g., 3-phase motors, fuses, relays).\nUnderstanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting (programming not required).\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNo direct supervisory responsibilities.
