We remain committed to providing top-quality products, service, and value to our customers.\nJob Summary/Objective:\nThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, building utilities, and facility systems. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability of equipment while adhering to safety and food manufacturing standards.\nEssential Functions:\nEquipment Maintenance:Perform daily and weekly equipment startups, ensuring smooth operations.\nSet up production lines and make necessary equipment tooling changes.\nTroubleshoot and repair a range of process equipment, including mixers, depositors, metal detectors, conveyors, shrink film equipment, printers, labelers, and scales.\nConduct preventive maintenance to maintain equipment in optimal working condition.\n\nFacility Maintenance:Perform daily inspections of refrigeration equipment, roof areas, utility rooms, and other critical facility spaces.\nRespond promptly to maintenance calls from various production departments, providing support and troubleshooting assistance.\n\nCompliance and Documentation:Follow company procedures and safety protocols while performing all tasks.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.\n\nCompetencies:\nProficient in mechanical and electrical repairs.\nAbility to diagnose and replace mechanical components (e.g., bearings, shafts, chains, v-belts).\nSkilled in troubleshooting electrical failures and replacing components (e.g., 3-phase motors, fuses, relays).\nUnderstanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting (programming not required).\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNo direct supervisory responsibilities. Works collaboratively with the maintenance team and production staff.\nWork Environment:\nIndoor manufacturing environment.\nExposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.\nRequires adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.\nFrequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), twisting, and climbing ladders (up to 30 feet high).\nPosition Type:\nFull-Time\nWork Hours:\nOpportunities available on:1st Shift\n2nd Shift\n3rd Shift\n\nTravel: Minimal to none.\nRequired Education & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent vocational training.\nRelevant experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Education & Experience:\nCertification or experience in wastewater operations and ammonia refrigeration.\nHVAC Technician License.\nBasic plumbing and welding knowledge.\nExperience with food manufacturing equipment and processes.\nAdditional Desired Skills and Experience (Not required):\nForklift operator certification and experience.\nAdvanced skills in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.\nFamiliarity with electrical troubleshooting tools (e.g., multimeters, voltage testers, amperage testers).\nPay Transparency:\nThe typical starting salary range for this position is $29.00 - $45.00 / hour. Several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location will determine the actual pay offered. The salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for associates in these positions.\nThis position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
