We remain committed to providing top quality products, service, and value to our customers.\nProject Engineer\nNorth Andover, MA\nJob Summary/Objective:\nThe Project Engineer is responsible for leading and managing engineering projects aimed at modifying and improving processes, adding new capabilities, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality within a food-manufacturing environment. This role involves working cross-functionally to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to strict industry standards and regulations.\nEssential Functions:\nEvaluate and implement engineering technology and methods changes to improve operational efficiency.\nDevelop and execute project plans aligned with engineering and customer objectives, measuring performance against key metrics.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to resolve technical obstacles and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAnalyze engineering drawings and models to identify and implement manufacturing methodologies for fabrication.\nWork directly with vendors to design, fabricate, install, and test new equipment.\nDirect internal resources and contractors to implement process and infrastructure changes.\nCollaborate across teams and functions to assess and enact change in steady and controlled manner.\nInvestigate and resolve manufacturing and production issues, providing remote support when necessary.\nCompetencies:\nTechnical Knowledge: Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Lean Manufacturing principles, and data analytics tools.\nProblem-Solving: Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex manufacturing issues.\nProject Management: Capable of managing multiple high-impact projects concurrently, with a focus on achieving significant cost savings.\nCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.\nAdaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.\nWork Environment:\nPrimarily operates in a food-manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and manufacturing equipment.\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.\nOccasional requirement to work in confined spaces or elevated positions.\nWork Hours:\nTypical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.\nTravel:\nUp to 15% travel may be required, primarily within the United States, for site visits, supplier Factory Acceptance Tests audits, Trade Shows and project meetings.\nRequired Education & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on project management in a food-manufacturing environment.\nExperience and competency using AUTO-Cad to create and modify equipment layouts\nUnderstanding of essential safety, health, and compliance requirements and regulations.\nFamiliarity with process technology, controls, and automation.\nPreferred Education & Experience:\nMaster’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA).\nPMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification.\nExperience with JDE and other manufacturing software systems (AutoCAD, MS Project, & MS Office).\nCompensation:\nThe typical starting salary range for this position is $125,000-$145,000 a year. Several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and the location of the job will determine the actual pay offered. The salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for associates in these positions.\nThis position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
