In the Warehouse Associate role you will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient handling of material in the warehouse. In this role you will operate various types of material handling equipment in a warehouse where the temperatures range from -10° to 70°F.\nEssential Functions: (may include one or more of these job duties)\nPick, wrap, stage and load outbound customer sales orders and warehouse to warehouse transfers.\nSupport production by picking ingredients and packaging materials and placing them in the required staging locations.\nReceive inbound Purchase Orders and Warehouse Inventory transfers by using handheld RF guns to enter data into the Company computer system (JD Edwards).\nMaintain accurate on hand inventory by performing various inventory control functions.\nSupport the Company’s food safety standards by maintaining good housekeeping in the Warehouse and by always following the GMP guidelines.\nMaintain good communication and act with a sense of urgency when supporting other departments within the Company.\nMake safety your top priority by following all safety rules and procedures.\nCompetencies:\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills\nEffective communication skills\nBasic math skills\nAdaptability and problem-solving\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment\nTeamwork and collaboration\nReliability and punctuality\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nWork Environment:\nWork on the warehouse floor with exposure to machinery noise and varying temperatures, including freezer environments (-10°F) to dry warehouse environments (70°F)\nPhysical Demands:\nProlonged standing and walking on concrete floors\nProlonged standing and driving warehouse material handling equipment \nFrequent bending, lifting, and twisting\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nPosition Type:\nFull-Time\nWork Hours:\nVarying shifts, with potential for overtime and weekend work based on production needs\nTravel:\nNo travel required, with potential travel between warehouses within the region\nRequired Education & Experience:\nNone specified\nPreferred Education & Experience:\n1-2 years of warehouse experience\n1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing\nTraining in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), basic allergen handling, food defense, and HACCP\nExperience operating material handling equipment, including stand-up reach trucks and ride-on pallet jacks\nCompensation:\nThe typical starting salary range for this position is $20.00-$21.50 / hour. Several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and the location of the job will determine the actual pay offered.
