This position should also propose ideas to build on the existing maintenance program and improve it.\nPlease see our website for more information regarding Baker Commodities, Inc. www.bakercommodities.com\nCompensation and Benefits\n$95,000 to $100,000 salary per year \nMedical, dental and vision coverage offered \n401(k) With employer contribution \nPaid holidays, vacation and sick time \nCompany sponsored life insurance \nCompany sponsored short and long-term disability? \nPet Insurance\nDuties and Responsibilities\nManages and directs all maintenance personnel, including but not limited to reviewing and approving time off requests and hours worked, training and coaching employees, and advising and assisting the Plant Manager on employee disciplinary issues \nThis position is involved in and makes recommendations regarding employee terminations or hiring, but does not perform these functions themselves\nResponsible for gathering and filing all maintenance related record keeping\nMust keep up-to-date records of servicing of all major machinery and equipment, and is responsible for scheduling times/dates for any major mechanical repairs or equipment replacements under the supervision of the Plant Manager\nMust delegate tasks to different shifts, follow up on the progression of tasks, and ensure all work is properly documented\nReviews and maintains inventories of plant supplies, parts, and tools on a regular basis, and communicates with the Plant Manager on the need to re-order plant supplies, parts and tools\nAssists the Plant Manager with ordering plant equipment, supplies and parts, including researching and evaluating different options, placing orders, and communicating with vendors and contractors throughout the process\nCommunicates daily with the Plant Manager and keeps the Plant Manager appraised of progress on maintenance jobs and ongoing or potential maintenance related issues\nRequired to work with water lines, high-pressure steam pipes, hydraulic hoses, welding, cutting (plasma & torch) and brazing\nMust be able to maintain all major pieces of equipment, including but not limited to the boilers, scrubbers, cooker, and presses\nMust learn and be able to troubleshoot issues with equipment and machinery used throughout the plant\nRequired to respond to after-hours emergencies as they occur\nMust be able to direct others to repair gear drives\nMust be able to direct work on the installation and removal of heavy machinery and equipment\nOversee the completion of the OSHA checklist and assist the Plant Manager with OSHA inspections and follow-up\nEnsures that the plant and all equipment are maintained in an orderly and clean condition\nMay conduct inspections with regulatory bodies, for insurance purposes, or as otherwise requested by management or Baker Corporate.\nInteracts with others in a professional and ethical manner\nFollows all Company policies and procedures\nKeeps up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this Company.
