These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements\nValid Driver license and current DOT medical card\nMust be 21 or older to comply with Federal regulations\nEndorsements (tanker and doubles) based on vehicle assigned\n2 years non commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR\nAbility to complete Entry Level Driver program if less than 2 years commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred \nAbility to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Department\nUnderstand and follow all DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations\nKnowledge of transportation and safety principles for moving goods by road\nSkill to operate, control and monitor vehicle and equipment\nAbility to work overtime and alternate schedule/route as needed\nLocal travel; less than 5% overnight travel\nPhysical Demands/Requirements\nConstantly (over 2/3):\nremains in a seated position while using arms, legs and observation to operate vehicle\nobserves and monitors equipment\nascends/descends in and out vehicle and on equipment\nFrequently (1/3-2/3):\ncommunicates with co-workers, customers and supervisors\nmoves, lifts, pushes and pulls equipment and material up to 60 lbs.\nwalks, climbs, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches and handles equipment to collect material\noperates electronic devices such as GPS equipment and phone/radio\nOccasionally (under 1/3):\nexposed to outdoor weather conditions\nexposed to materials that occasionally require use of PPE such as gloves (protect from heat)\nmoves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces\nelectronically and manually completes logs/reports\nAbout Baker Commodities, Inc.\nBaker Commodities Inc. has been in business for over 80 years.
