This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the facility and ensuring work areas are sanitary, safe, and presentable for daily operations. Responsibilities include routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom and break room sanitation, waste and recycling removal, and stocking necessary supplies. The Janitor will also perform minor facility upkeep, assist with organization and 5S efforts, and notify management of repairs or maintenance needs. We are ready to shape a stronger future for our company and invest in your success.\n\nACCOUNTABILITIES\nMaintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly manufacturing facility.\nEnsure cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, and common-area supplies are stocked and available.\nSupport facility organization, 5S, safety, and waste/recycling initiatives.\nIdentify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to management.\nMAIN DUTIES\nClean and maintain the lunchroom, including the locker area, cabinets, counters, microwaves, refrigirator, coffee equipment, floors, windows, and other surfaces.\nClean inside lockers as needed.\nClean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.\nCollect and dispose of trash and cardboard; support recycling efforts.\nDust and clean production/office machines and equipment in accordance with applicable safety procedures.\nSweep, mop, and wax production floors.\nAssist with basement cleaning, organization, and storage.\nMaintain overhead areas and walls by cleaning, performing minor repairs, and painting as needed.\nClean desks, tables, white boards and other work surfaces.\nHelp establish and maintain the facility 5S system.\nMaintain the outside break area, including trash removal, picnic table cleaning, and pallet organization.\nAssist with safety audits and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) organization and maintenance.\nAssist with coordinating and managing vending company services.\nMonitor and replenish facility-use items such as gloves and assist with basic cleaning/upkeep of common-area TVs or displays, as assigned.\nPerform other cleaning, custodial, and minor facility-maintenance duties as assigned.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to work independently and manage routine cleaning responsibilities with minimal supervision.\nAbility to safely use standard janitorial equipment, cleaning products, and personal protective equipment.\nAbility to work around manufacturing equipment while following facility safety requirements.\nDependable attendance and ability to prioritize tasks based on facility needs.\nWillingness to perform minor maintenance, organization, and facility-support tasks as assigned.\nSKILL SET\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.\nGood organization and time-management skills.\nAbility to identify and communicate maintenance or safety concerns.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety and chemical-handling procedures.\nAbility to work effectively with employees, vendors, and management.\nEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
