You will be responsible for ensuring Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis. This position works seamlessly together with the Service Delivery Coordinators, Sales and other resources across organizational boundaries to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application are understood and have been considered.\nAs an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nProviding sales support and product application recommendations\nCoordinating to implement area specific product strategies and best practices\nWorking with the Service Delivery Coordinator/ Service Delivery Manager/Sales Specialist to ensure any risk of meeting the client's objective is communicated to the client using the appropriate channels/processes for the respective client\nPerforming offset well/similar job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential\nProviding technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology\nComparing job as-planned versus job as-executed and document any lessons learned to ensure opportunity for continuous improvement\nInvestigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions\nPerforming customer technical presentations. Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues\nProvides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the Drilling Services tool(s) and/or service(s).\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer awareness. Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.\nUnder minimal supervision provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day work and activities.\nConducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nUnder broad direction provides highly skilled level sales support and product application recommendations on drill bit product line(s)\nResponsible for providing sales support and product application recommendations\nCoordinates to implement area specific product strategies and best practices\nProvides technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology\nWill investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions\nPerforms customer technical presentations\nProvides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues\nHandles special projects, as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:\n· Bachelor's degree in engineering\n· Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience\n· Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills\n· Ability to develop, coach and mentor teams across organizational boundaries\n· Ability to be on call outside of normal business hours\n· Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization\n· Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements\n· Excellent communication and presentation skills\n· Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills\n· Must have the ability to travel (typically travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
