BRUSH Power Generation enhances Baker Hughes portfolio of electromechanical equipment, including electric generators, synchronous condensers, electric motors, and associated control power management systems.\nPartner with the best\nAs an Assembly Operator you will develop and deliver programs to train and ensure competency of channel personnel, Baker Hughes employees, and customers (end users) on the assembly, testing and servicing of Flow Control & Safety Solutions products.\nAs an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for:\nSet up and installation of generator rotors, including 2-pole and 4-pole rotor preparations, as well as installation of fans, ventilation rings, slip rings, and exciter assemblies.\n\nExecuting preparatory activities such as cleaning threads and contact surfaces, assembling internal components, bearing shields, exciter units, noise barriers, coolers, and mechanical parts of generators.\n\nPerforming dimensional measurements and electrical insulation resistance tests during assembly, ensuring proper alignment and operation of oil and water distribution systems within the test room.\n\nAssembling and securing special components such as rotor couplings and fan blades, while adhering to work, health and safety, and quality procedures, including environmental protection standards.\n\nHandling installation and maintenance tasks in balancing tunnels, ensuring correct seating in bearings, connection to drives, and pre-balancing procedures.\n\nPreparing the workplace efficiently and comply with regulatory standards throughout all assembly and testing operations.\n\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings\n\nAttention to detail and diligence with an eye for quality\n\nHold a valid Passport and the ability to travel internationally\n\nHave good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style and able to effectively communicate\n\nDesirable skills/experience\nKnowledge of Power Generation / Rotating equipment\n\nHave a High School Diploma, GED or Vocational qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline\n\nHave experience in mechanical assembly with basic electrical experience and training\n\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
