Operating in more than 120 countries, the company blends deep industrial expertise with advanced engineering and digital technologies to support energy production, transformation, and decarbonization. With over a century of heritage, Baker Hughes partners with customers in oil and gas, industrial sectors, and emerging energy markets to accelerate progress toward a more sustainable energy future\nFuel your passion\nThe Solution Architect is the technical lead of the CarbonEdge Digital Pursuit Team. The role owns the translation of customer CCUS challenges - across capture, transport, injection and storage - into CarbonEdge solution designs that are technically credible, deliverable, and commercially compelling.\nThis is a customer-facing, domain-led role. Success is measured by qualified leads converted, and pilots and commercial deployments closed, not by internal deliverables. The person will work directly with operators, project developers, regulators and verification bodies, and will be the single technical point of reference in a pursuit from first customer conversation through proposal and contract.\nReports into the Demand Generation and Solution Architecture organization, with a strong working line to CarbonEdge Product Leadership.\nAsSolution Architect - CarbonEdge™ , you will be responsible for:\nCustomer engagement and pursuit leadership\nLeading technical discoveries with CCS operators and project developers: understand the storage complex, the MMV plan, the regulatory pathway, the existing sensing and data estate, and the operational pain points. \nActing as technical lead across the pursuit lifecycle - qualification, workshops, demonstrations, technical clarifications, and executive-level discussions. \nRunning customer workshops that convert an MMV/MRV plan into a digital scope: what is measured, how often, by which sensor, against which regulatory obligation, and what the operator does with the result. \nWorking embedded alongside customer teams during pilot and deployment phases - including extended periods on customer sites and inside customer cloud and IT environments - acting as the trusted technical counterpart to their subsurface, operations and digital organizations. \nPartnering with Sales, Commercial and Proposals to shape the technical narrative, scope of work and effort estimate behind each bid. \nProduct feedback\nFeeding structured, evidence-based requirements back to Product Management from live pursuits - including what competitors are being credited for and where we lose capability. \nSupporting product champions across the regional sales organizations with enablement and technical content. \nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a degree in Geoscience, Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, or related technical discipline. \nHave substantial subsurface experience - reservoir characterization, petrophysics, well integrity, injection or storage operations - with a working understanding of how surface operations connect to subsurface behavior. \nHave had exposure to CCS/CCUS: storage site characterization, injection monitoring, containment and conformance, or MMV plan development. \nHave working knowledge of digital solutions, with the ability to assess solution adoption feasibility and customer readiness. \nHave a demonstrated ability to work with customer-facing: technical sales, consulting, pursuit-support, or client-side technical authority. Comfortable presenting to both engineers and executives. \nBring experience gained working for, or embedded with, an operator, project developer or storage license holder - as an employee, secondee, or long-term consultant - so that customer constraints, approval cycles, data governance sensitivities and internal decision-making are understood from the inside. \nBeing comfort operating inside a customer's environment and governance - their cloud tenancy, their security review, their change process - rather than only from the vendor side. \nHave fluency with monitoring data - fiber optic (DAS/DTS/DSS), microseismic and surface seismic, downhole P/T, well logs, flow metering - and what each is and is not good for. \nHave willingness to travel internationally and to spend sustained periods at customer locations during pilots and deployments. \nAbout CarbonEdge™\nCarbonEdge is Baker Hughes' end-to-end digital solution for CCUS operations - a single pane of glass connecting subsurface to surface across the capture, transport, storage and carbon accounting value chain. It digitalizes the MMV and MRV plan, combining sensor and SCADA connectivity, an integrated asset model, quantitative risk management, plume and containment monitoring, anomaly and leak detection, and automated regulatory reporting. The platform is modular, cloud-agnostic, and vendor-agnostic, and is deployed today on live CCS projects in the Middle East and Europe.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:\nWorking flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes. We know we are better when all of our people are developed, engaged and able to bring their whole authentic selves to work. We invest in the health and well-being of our workforce, train and reward talent and develop leaders at all levels to bring out the best in each other.\nWorking for you\nOur inventions have revolutionized energy for over a century. But to keep going forward tomorrow, we know we must push the boundaries today. We prioritize rewarding those who embrace change with a package that reflects how much we value their input. Join us, and you can expect:\nContemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities\nComprehensive private medical care options\nSafety net of life insurance and disability programs\nTailored financial programs\nAdditional elected or voluntary benefits\nFor Italy:The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 63,000 To 117,000. The provisions of the Contratto Collettivo Energia e Petrolio will be applied to this position. Art. 32 and Art. 34 of that collective bargaining agreement relate to pay\nThe Baker Hughes internal title for this role is: Sales Senior Advisor - Solution Architecture","description_format":"text","description_chars":6945,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule","Life insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Petroleum & Mining Engineering","Oil & Gas"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-13T16:04:59Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.602,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":4,"reasons":["conf:5","stale_co","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-14T06:34:16Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":130918,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/baker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/baker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-15T02:30:55Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3708,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-16T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1758363},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1758363"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fbaker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fbaker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fbaker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/baker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fbaker-hughes-ccus-solution-architect-mfd-2"}]}
