You will own complex service scopes, cost assumptions, and customer-facing technical deliverables while ensuring technical accuracy, competitiveness, and risk mitigation.\nYou will partner closely with commercial, sales, engineering, and regional teams to optimize proposal strategies and support customer negotiations on technical, operational, and contractual topics. Acting as a technical advisor to the regional commercial team, you will contribute to deal strategy and help develop customer-focused, risk-balanced service solutions.\nAs a CSA Customer Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nLeading the definition, preparation, and management of the technical content associated with LTSA proposals.\n\nInterpreting customer technical requirements and translating them into optimized service solutions.\n\nDefining, reviewing, and challenging service Scope of Work assumptions to ensure technical and commercial competitiveness.\n\nValidating assumptions for both existing and new technologies used within service proposals.\n\nEnsuring technical accuracy and cost competitiveness across customer proposals.\n\nIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating technical, operational, and contractual risks.\n\nCollaborating with commercial, sales, engineering, and regional teams to develop competitive proposal strategies.\n\nSupporting customer negotiations related to technical, operational, and risk management topics.\n\nActing as a technical partner to regional commercial teams throughout the proposal development process.\n\nDriving cross-functional alignment to develop customer-focused and commercially sound solutions.\n\nSupporting the development of risk-balanced proposals that align with business objectives and customer requirements.\n\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university.\n\nHave 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in roles such as Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Application Engineer, Project Manager, or similar technical/commercial positions.\n\nDemonstrate experience managing complex scopes and customer-facing activities.\n\nBe fluent in spoken and written English.\n\nBe willing and able to travel on short notice.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHave a master’s degree in engineering with a focus on Turbomachinery from an accredited college or university.\n\nDemonstrate industrial market knowledge and experience in service, commercial, project execution, or application engineering environments.\n\nHave strong technical knowledge of rotating machinery, particularly gas turbines, including maintenance concepts, service scopes, and lifecycle cost drivers.\n\nPossess strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.\n\nDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned deliverables.\n\nBe able to communicate complex technical and commercial topics clearly and effectively to customers, peers, and leadership teams.\n\nDemonstrate the ability to work autonomously and lead the development of complex technical and commercial solutions.\n\nHold a Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\n\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
