This role is responsible for leading the design and development of advanced safety valve technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the entire product lifecycle, including concept development, prototype testing, production manufacturing, and field support.\nAs a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nLeading engineering projects within defined budgets, schedules, and technical requirements.\nBreaking down complex initiatives into manageable milestones and ensure timely execution.\nDeveloping engineering drawings, calculations, design documentation, and test reports.\nPreparing and delivering presentations for design reviews and stage-gate approvals.\nCollaborating with engineering teams, testing personnel, and supply chain to ensure cost-effective design.\nCommunicating effectively with internal teams and external clients.\nEnsuring adherence to engineering processes and maintain project documentation.\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering OR Master’s degree\nHave strong problem-solving skills with innovative approaches.\nHave proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.\nHave experience with 3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings.\nHave understanding of finite element analysis (FEA) and geometry simplification.\nHave knowledge of hydraulic systems and forces.\nHave proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nHave strong written and verbal communication skills\nDesired Characteristics\nHave bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree\nHave programming experience in Visual Basic or web-based languages.\nHave familiarity with SAP, TeamCenter PLM, SolidWorks, LabVIEW, and/or FEA software.\nHave experience in oilfield equipment design or operations.\nHave knowledge of API standards.\nHave experience with product development lifecycle systems and stage-gate processes.\nHave hands-on experience integrating mechanical and electrical systems is a PLUS\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
