The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of modern web applications using Angular, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and DBR technologies. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work within an Agile environment while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to business-critical software products.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular.\n\nBuild and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js.\n\nDesign, write, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database objects, queries, and stored procedures.\n\nContribute to the development and support of solutions built on the DBR technology stack.\n\nParticipate in feature development, bug fixing, code reviews, and testing activities.\n\nCollaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Senior Developers to deliver high-quality software.\n\nTroubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis for defects.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.\n\nSupport CI/CD deployment activities and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.\n\nContinuously learn new technologies and contribute ideas for process and product improvements.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n\n0-2 years of software development experience (internships and academic projects considered).\n\nWorking knowledge of:\n\nAngular (v12+ preferred)\n\nTypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3\n\nNode.js and Express.js\n\nPostgreSQL database development and SQL query optimization\n\nREST API development and integration\n\nGit version control\n\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Good to Have)\nWorking knowledge of Python.\n\nUnderstanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.\n\nKnowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.\n\nFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks.\n\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\n\nExperience working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
