She/he will Lead design discussion in a limited manner.\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nCapturing system level requirements by brainstorming with Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers\n\nIdentifying the scope of the work, providing initial estimate and justifying the estimate with facts\n\nDemonstrating the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.\n\nEngaging in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through whiteboarding\n\nWorking closely with your peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team\n\nProviding guidance to a team of 2 to 3 developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM\n\nWorking with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision\n\nDemonstrating the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment\n\nExecuting in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal.\n\nMaintaining code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation. Also, Seek and provide feedback on design and development\n\nPossessing advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus. Expert in processes / methodologies and Skilled in build, release & deployment processes\n\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nBe a graduate of Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).\n\nHave 7+ years of hands-on backend/frontend development in Web/Cloud application.\n\nHave prior experience of implementing an application on Azure/AWS using microservices architecture; docker/containerization.\n\nHave proficiency in back-end development using TypeScript & Node.js\n\nHave proficiency in Database (MySQL, PostgreSQL).\n\nHave hands on experience in backend like Session management, caching, algorithms & data structures, secure coding, etc.\n\nProficiency in Typescript, jQuery, Web Servers & RESTful Web services.\n\nHands-on experience on data communication protocols like AMQP/MQTT & message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka etc.\n\nFlexible to learn and develop in any language/technology/tools as per the project’s needs.\n\nHave deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability etc.\n\nHave good Problem-solving skills, Collaboration, Influencing and articulation.\n\nDeep understanding and hands on experience of Programming concepts: OOPS, best practices, refactoring, maintainable/reusable code, Design principles and patterns, Architecture, TDD, Unit testing, debugging, automation.\n\nCan break down problems and estimate time for development tasks\n\nBe a graduate of Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).\n\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
