In addition to previousdrilling and data acquisition experience, the Drilling Optimization Engineer will accomplishthis by utilizingpre-determined event fingerprinting, data validationand Well Engineering & Project Management best practices\nAs a Drilling Optimization Engineer -Technical Support, you will be responsible for:\n· Monitoring real-time data throughout drilling and completion operations for one or more wells.\n· Learning and assistingwith recognizing trends in real-time data which relate to improvement opportunities or health of the well and the avoidance of drilling hazards\n· Developing daily reports which include essential measured data and descriptions on activities, trendsand recommendations for improvements.\n· Collecting and applying drilling data (both realtimeand recorded), such as but not limited to SPP, torque, RPM, block height and downhole LWD data.\n· Assisting with and ensuring essential personnel have access to real-time information or are informed in a timely mannerof improvement opportunities or trends that suggest potential drilling hazards. This will include assisting field operations personnel with data analysis and assistdecision making.\n· Performing torque and drag, hydraulics analysis in real-time with Baker Hughes system for proper hole cleaning and avoid any NPT\n· Analyzing ofdrilling surface parameters such as ROP, WOB, Torque, Hook Load, Standpipeand any other available data. Complete Vibration analysis- Stick slip, Bit/BHA Whirl and Bit Bounce.\n· Assisting in developing communication plans to provide performance feedback to job sites and operational stakeholders; monitor effectiveness and adjust as necessary\n· Meeting and engaging withcustomers, rig managers, drillers, and operations team on a regular basis to present drilling optimization applications and trends, andhelp to identifyand capture opportunities for performance improvement.\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nBachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering.\n\n5+ years of relevant work experience in drilling optimization, drilling data analyst, well engineering, field operations, and well construction. Competenceshould include drill bits/mills, drilling BHA design, drilling engineering simulations, drilling field operations,drillingpreparation of programs, or similar.\n\nExperience working in Well Construction, in Vaca Muerta or Permian Basins.\n\nExperience using ItrakHydraulics application Jewel Suite Drilling Evaluation,WellLinkPerformance,andCorva.\n\nHave excellent interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectivesthrough effective influencing, and establishcredibility with senior leaders.\n\nHave excellent analytics and problem-solving, including abilityto form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.\n\nHave excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages.\n\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
