You will operate company vehicles in accordance with Baker Hughes policies, customer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.\nYou will work closely with managers, plant personnel, and office teams to coordinate routes and schedules while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.\nFueling Your Passion\nAs a Long Haul Chemical Transport Driver, you will use your professional driving experience, chemical handling knowledge, and commitment to safety to support reliable transportation and delivery operations. You will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of hazardous chemicals while maintaining accurate documentation and complying with transportation and dangerous goods requirements.\nYou will also support warehouse and yard activities as required and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.\nAs a Long Haul Chemical Transport Driver, you will be responsible for:\nSafely operating company vehicles in compliance with Baker Hughes policies, customer requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations.\nTransporting hazardous production chemicals throughout Western Canada safely and efficiently.\nLoading and unloading hazardous chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.\nMaintaining courteous, professional, and safe driving practices while operating on public roads.\nFollowing applicable traffic laws and oil company-specific regulations and requirements.\nAccurately recording delivery information and maintaining required transportation and delivery documentation.\nCompleting and maintaining required electronic and paper driving logs.\nOperating forklifts and other equipment as required to support loading, unloading, and operational activities.\nCommunicating effectively with managers, plant personnel, and office teams to support route planning and scheduling.\nPerforming warehouse and yard duties as required.\nMaintaining the cleanliness of assigned trucks and work areas.\nSupporting safe and efficient daily transportation and chemical delivery activities.\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nHave a High School Diploma or equivalent.\nHold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.\nHave previous chemical delivery experience.\nHave a clean driving record.\nHave the ability to complete required paperwork and maintain accurate electronic and paper logs.\nHave knowledge of Transport Canada Dangerous Goods Regulations and load securement standards.\nHave the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.\nHave basic computer skills.\nDemonstrate strong integrity, responsibility, and organizational skills.\nHave good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nBe available for on-call work as required.\nDesired Characteristics\nLong-haul driving experience within Western Canada.\nPrevious off-road driving experience.\nPrevious experience working within the oil and gas industry.\nFamiliarity with chemical safety procedures and practices.\nFamiliarity with pumps, valves, and liquid handling equipment.\nAbility to work effectively in varying operating and environmental conditions.\nAbility to safely operate different types of equipment as required.\nWork in a Way That Works for You\nThis role primarily operates Monday through Friday, with weekend work potentially required based on operational needs. Overtime applies after 10 hours per day or 50 hours per week.\nThe position requires flexibility to support on-call requirements as needed and involves long-haul transportation of hazardous production chemicals throughout Western Canada.\nCandidates must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.\n Working with Us\nOur people are at the heart of our success.
