The candidate will work closely with product, cloud, data, firmware, and industrial engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure edge solutions.\nAs a Embedded Software Engineer (Embedded Systems & Industrial IoT) you are also responsible for\nEdge Software & Analytics Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain edge analytics applications for industrial environments. \nBuild data acquisition, processing, filtering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities at the edge. \nDevelop real-time analytics algorithms for asset monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance. \nOptimize analytics workloads for resource-constrained embedded and gateway platforms. \nEmbedded Systems & Firmware Integration\nCollaborate with firmware teams to integrate edge analytics capabilities into embedded devices. \nDevelop software components that interface with sensors, PLCs, RTUs, industrial controllers, and field devices. \nTroubleshoot hardware-software interactions and improve system reliability and performance. \nSupport firmware upgrades, diagnostics, and lifecycle management. \nIndustrial IoT and Gateway Development\nDesign and develop IoT gateway software for industrial deployments. \nImplement edge-to-cloud connectivity and data management solutions. \nDevelop containerized applications and edge services for deployment on IoT gateways. \nEnable secure device onboarding, provisioning, monitoring, and management. \nOT Network Integration\nIntegrate with industrial communication protocols and OT infrastructure. \nInterface with industrial systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, historians, and MES platforms. \nConfigure and troubleshoot industrial network communication and data flows. \nEnsure secure connectivity between OT and IT environments. \nSecurity & Reliability\nImplement cybersecurity best practices for edge devices and industrial networks. \nEnsure secure communication, authentication, encryption, and access control. \nSupport compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and organizational security guidelines. \nParticipate in security reviews, threat assessments, and vulnerability remediation activities. \nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with cloud, AI/ML, data engineering, and product teams to deploy edge intelligence solutions. \nParticipate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making. \nMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices. \nCreate technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures. \nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will have:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline. \n5+ years of experience in embedded software, industrial software, IoT, or edge computing environments.\nExperience delivering software products or solutions in industrial automation, manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, or similar domains. \nStrong proficiency in C and C++. \nExperience with embedded Linux and RTOS environments. \nKnowledge of device drivers, board support packages (BSP), and hardware interfaces. \nExperience with ARM-based processors and embedded hardware platforms. \nIndustrial IoT & Edge Computing\nExperience developing Industrial IoT solutions and edge applications. \nKnowledge of edge computing architectures and distributed systems. \nFamiliarity with Azure IoT, AWS IoT, EdgeX Foundry, or similar platforms. \nExperience with Docker containers and container orchestration at the edge. \nGateway Software\nExperience developing software for industrial gateways and edge devices. \nKnowledge of device management, telemetry, diagnostics, and remote updates. \nFamiliarity with messaging technologies such as MQTT, AMQP, and OPC UA. \nOT Networks & Industrial Protocols\nStrong understanding of industrial networking concepts. \nExperience with one or more industrial protocols: \nOPC UA \nModbus TCP/RTU \nEtherNet/IP \nPROFINET \nIEC 61850 \nUnderstanding of SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, and Historian systems. \nCloud & Data Technologies\nExperience integrating edge platforms with cloud services. \nKnowledge of time-series data processing and industrial data models. \nFamiliarity with Python for analytics and automation. \nUnderstanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AI/ML model deployment at the edge. \nKnowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST frameworks. \nExperience with Kubernetes/K3s at the edge. \nFamiliarity with digital twins and industrial data platforms. \nExperience in Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives. \nExposure
