Our commitment to innovation and operational excellence drives safer, cleaner, and more efficient energy solutions worldwide.\nFueling Your Passion\nAs the Engineer 2, Systems, Testing, and Qualification, you will be responsible for:\nDeveloping, reviewing, and executing test procedures for control valves, instrumentation, electronic systems, and new product designs\nSetting up, configuring, calibrating, and troubleshooting test equipment, instrumentation, valves, and controllers\nPerforming functional and performance testing on prototypes and newly developed products to verify design requirements, performance, and reliability\nAnalyzing and interpreting test results, identifying issues, and documenting technical findings and recommendations\nReading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and other technical documentation\nWorking closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate failures and resolve technical issues\nSupporting design verification, product validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.\nEnsuring testing activities comply with applicable procedures, quality standards, and Baker Hughes HSE requirements\nCommunicating test status, technical issues, results, and recommendations to engineering and project leadership\nTo be successful in this role you will have:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Controls, or a related engineering discipline or at least 6+ years of relevant experience\nHands-on experience with instrumentation, control valves, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment diagnostics\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, technical specifications, and test documentation\nExperience developing or executing engineering test procedures and analyzing test results\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail\nComfortability working hands-on with test equipment, prototypes, instrumentation, and mechanical/electrical assemblies\nEffective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other technical functions\nExperience with engineering and documentation tools; knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, instrumentation software, or valve-sizing software is beneficial\nFamiliarity with applicable engineering or industry standards; knowledge of standards such as API, PIP, NFPA, NACE, and ISO is beneficial\nDemonstrated strong commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and delivering projects on schedule\nWork in a Way That Works for You\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way people work and perform at their best varies.
