Drawing inspiration from its rich heritage as an inventor company, Baker Hughes harnesses the passion and expertise of its people to improve productivity throughout the entire oil and gas value chain.\nPartner with the best\nAs a Wireline Field Operator, you will be fully competent in all aspects of operator duties at the well site and at the shop, can maintain the unit and perform all pre-job duties, well-site operations and post-job duties, as well as training of junior operators.\nAs a Wireline Field Operator, you will be responsible for:\nPreparing for jobs and performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout.\nRigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site.\nServicing mechanical devices and building logging cable heads\nPerforating cable heads and maintenance on the tools\nMaintaining well site/DOT records and communications as required by District Manager\nPromoting and maintaining good customer relations\nReceiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity\nPerforming basic duties at the well site and at the shop\nDriving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing company and government regulations\nParticipating in quality improvement efforts for ballistics operations\nSupervising and train other Field Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site\nPerforming other related duties as required\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a high school diploma or equivalent education\nHave a heavy mechanical aptitude, including hands-on experience working with tools, equipment, engines, or other mechanical systems\nMust be 21 years of age or older to obtain ATF explosives certification\nMust be able to drive a manual (stick-shift) vehicle and have a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement OR successfully pass the company’s driving test on a manual (stick-shift) vehicle and obtain a Class A or B CDL and/or Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of employment\nHave the ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and team members\nBe able to work on-call 24/7 and have the flexibility to remain at well sites for extended periods\nBe able to travel as required, including frequent regional travel and occasional extended stays at remote locations\nHave a clean driving record and the ability to pass a federal background check\nBe able to use computers for communication, reporting, and other work-related tasks\nPreferred Qualifications\nPossess a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement at the time of hire\nDemonstrated hands-on mechanical experience such as equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair work within oil & gas industry\nWork in a way that works for yo u\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
