Drawing inspiration from its rich heritage as an inventor company, Baker Hughes harnesses the passion and expertise of its people to improve productivity throughout the entire oil and gas value chain.\nPartner with the best\nAs a Wireline Field Operator, you will be fully competent in all aspects of operator duties at the well site and at the shop, can maintain the unit and perform all pre-job duties, well-site operations and post-job duties, as well as training of junior operators.\nAs a Wireline Field Operator, you will be responsible for:\n· Preparing for jobs and performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout.\n· Rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site.\n· Servicing mechanical devices and building logging cable heads\n· Perforating cable heads and maintenance on the tools\n· Maintaining well site/DOT records and communications as required by District Manager\n· Promoting and maintaining good customer relations\n· Receiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity\n· Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop\n· Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing company and government regulations\n· Participating in quality improvement efforts for ballistics operations\n· Supervising and train other Field Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site\n· Performing other related duties as required\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\n· Have high school diploma or equivalent education\n· Have strong mechanical aptitude\n· Must be able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle and have a class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or You must successfully pass the Company's driving test on a manual (stick shift) vehicle and obtain your Class A or B CDL and/or Hazmat Endorsement withing 6 months of employment.\n· Have ability to work and communicate well with customers and employees\n· Have ability to work on call 24x7 and flexibility to work at well sites for extended periods of time\n· Have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a federal background check\n· Have ability to utilize computers for communication, reporting and other work-related purposes\n· Have to be 21 years of age or older in order to obtain ATF explosives certification\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
