You will be fully competent across at least two product categories, such as Wellheads and Xmas Trees and will provide technical direction, mentorship, and leadership during offshore operations.\nThis role combines hands-on technical expertise with crew leadership responsibilities, ensuring the safe and successful installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Baker Hughes equipment while delivering an outstanding customer experience.\nAs a Field Specialist you will:\nAct as the primary technical focal point for Baker Hughes at the customer worksite.\nProvide onsite technical guidance and support for the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Subsea Wellheads, X-Trees, Controls, Completions, and related Baker Hughes equipment.\nDemonstrate full competency in at least two product categories and provide subject matter expertise within your primary discipline.\nLead offshore crews and support the development of less experienced Field Service Engineers through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.\nFollow and execute Operating Service Procedures (OSP) and Project Related Procedures (PRP).\nManage inventory and maintain oversight of Baker Hughes equipment offshore.\nPerform equipment inspection, function testing, maintenance, repair, and reporting activities.\nCarry out pressure testing in accordance with installation and maintenance procedures.\nPrepare and contribute to operational updates, technical reports, work status reports, and customer communications.\nMaintain clear, accurate, and timely communication with customers and onshore support teams regarding operational progress, programme activities, risks, and technical issues.\nSupport the planning and coordination of equipment mobilisation and shipping activities.\nPerform stack-up testing and support offshore installation programmes.\nConduct troubleshooting, failure investigations, and reviews of non-productive time (NPT) events.\nCollaborate with Engineering teams and Project Managers in the development and review of technical procedures and project documentation.\nSupport workshop personnel and maintenance activities when required.\nPromote compliance with company and regulatory Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) standards.\nPromote adherence to Quality Management System requirements.\nContribute to the review and development of operation, maintenance, installation, and testing procedures.\nEnsure daily operational reports are accurately completed and handed over to relevant personnel.\nVerify that all required equipment, tooling, and spare parts are available and ready for use.\nProvide onshore operational support when requested by the Field Service Supervisor.\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nHave relevant experience in field service, offshore installation, intervention, maintenance or a related operational environment.\nDemonstrated working experience of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Subsea wellheads and Vertical & Horizontal Xmas Tree Systems .\nExperience coordinating offshore teams and supporting worksite activities within a customer-facing environment.\nDemonstrates confidence and competence in Factory Acceptance Testing, Extended Factory Acceptance Testing, System Integration Testing, and System Readiness Testing processes.\nAbility to communicate technical information, operational updates, and practical solutions clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.\nExperience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues across mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-hydraulic systems.\nCompletion of training programmes relevant to the Field Service Engineer level, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.\nGood working knowledge of Baker Hughes products, systems, and equipment.\nExperience using digital platforms such as GRID, NPT, SIRCam, Agility, Teamcentre, or comparable systems.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills in English.\nUnderstanding of drilling, completion, and production operations.\nKnowledge of offshore installation processes, procedures, and safe working practices.\nRelevant technical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical industry experience.\nCurrent offshore safety certifications required for the role, or the ability to obtain and maintain them where appropriate.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.\nOne of our core values as a business is collaboration and, as such, whilst flexible work options are available, we believe there is a great benefit of having our teams co-located in one of our many offices.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
