In this role, you will help shape our risk financing strategy while ensuring effective insurance coverage and governance across a complex international environment.\nPartner with the best\nAs an Insurance Programs Director, you will lead the strategy, placement, and performance of Baker Hughes' global insurance programs. Working closely with insurers, brokers, business leaders, and functional stakeholders, you will drive effective risk transfer solutions, optimize insurance costs, and ensure the organization is protected against evolving business risks.\nAs an Insurance Programs Director, you will be responsible for:\nLeading the renewal, negotiation, placement, and administration of global and local insurance programs.\nManaging relationships with insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, and other insurance partners to maximize value and service delivery.\nOverseeing claims management activities to ensure timely resolution and positive outcomes for stakeholders and employees.\nProviding expert guidance on contractual insurance requirements and risk transfer obligations to Legal and business teams.\nMonitoring insurance program performance, vendor effectiveness, compliance, and service delivery against established objectives.\nPartnering with HSE, Loss Control, Legal, Finance, Logistics, and other functions to identify and mitigate emerging risks.\nAnalyzing risk exposure, insurance market conditions, claims trends, and total cost of risk to support strategic decision-making.\nDelivering executive-level reporting and supporting strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, divestitures, and business transformation activities.\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nHold a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent professional experience.\nHave significant experience managing insurance programs, risk management activities, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk financing strategies.\nDemonstrate expertise in global insurance placements, renewals, claims management, and contractual risk transfer.\nPossess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk data, insurance costs, claims performance, and market trends.\nHave experience building and managing relationships with insurers, brokers, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.\nDemonstrate a strong understanding of risk management principles, governance frameworks, and insurance program design.\nHave a proven track record of leading complex initiatives within global and multicultural business environments.\nExhibit excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with full professional proficiency in English.\nKey Competencies\nStrategic Risk Management\nInsurance Program Leadership\nRisk Transfer and Insurance Placement\nClaims Management and Resolution\nCommercial and Financial Acumen\nData Analysis and Decision Making\nStakeholder Engagement and Influencing\nGovernance, Compliance and Risk Reporting\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
