This internship offers practical experience in coating application and testing, microstructural characterization, evaluation of mechanical and corrosion performance, analysis of experimental results, and technical reporting.\nAs an intern, you'll be responsible for:\nPerforming hands-on laboratory activities related to coatings and coating technologies. \nSupporting coating application and laboratory testing activities. \nCharacterizing coating microstructure using microscopy and other appropriate laboratory techniques. \nEvaluating coating performance, including mechanical properties and corrosion behavior. \nAnalyzing experimental results and preparing clear technical summaries and reports. \nSupporting activities across coating technologies, which may include thermal spray, plating, and other coating processes. \nOrganizing test data and contributing to consistent, high-quality laboratory documentation. \nOperating in compliance with laboratory Quality, Safety, and HSE procedures. \nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nBe currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a materials focus, or a related field. \nHave maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country. \nHave an interest in coatings, materials characterization, and hands-on laboratory work. \nDemonstrate strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. \nHave good written and verbal communication skills in English. \nShow curiosity, motivation, and a hands-on approach to laboratory work. \nBe able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction. \nThrough this internship, you will have the opportunity to develop:\nPractical experience in coating application, testing, and characterization within an industrial materials laboratory. \nHands-on experience in physical and mechanical characterization microscopy and chemical analysis techniques\nUnderstanding of relationships between coating microstructure, mechanical properties, and corrosion performance. \nExposure to coating technologies, potentially including thermal spray, plating processes and aluminide diffusive coatings. \nExperience analyzing experimental results and preparing technical reports. \nFamiliarity with industrial laboratory practices, quality standards, and HSE requirements. \nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
