Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, you will ensure products are built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.\nAs a Mechanical Technician, you will:\nAssemble hydraulic systems, control units, and mechanical components.\nBuild and test valves and associated products to required specifications.\nPerform flushing, pressure testing, and inspection activities.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.\nUse hand tools, measuring equipment, and assembly tools safely and effectively.\nIdentify and report quality issues in accordance with company procedures.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and additional workshop activities as required.\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related engineering environment.\nHave the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.\nHave experience working with hydraulic systems, mechanical equipment, or industrial products.\nHave experience using hand tools, measuring equipment, and standard workshop practices.\nHave a strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.\nHave the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nHave good communication and problem-solving skills.\nHave a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.\nQualifications & Experience\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent relevant industry experience.\nHave experience working in a manufacturing, workshop, production, maintenance, or assembly environment.\nHave experience supporting testing, inspection, or commissioning activities (preferred).\nHave knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical assembly processes (preferred).\nWork in a way that works for you\nThis is a full-time, workshop-based role involving mechanical assembly, testing, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products.\nWorking with us\nWorking at Baker Hughes means being at the forefront of the energy transition.
