This position is employed by Vetco Gray Pte. Ltd., Singapore, supporting the manufacturing facility in Batam, Indonesia. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Batam approximately 3-5 days per week, with the flexibility to return to Singapore on weekends and public holidays.\nAs an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:\nProduction Oversight: Monitor daily manufacturing output, manage shift schedules, and ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are met.\nProcess Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce scrap and rework, and boost productivity.\nResource & Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with sourcing, maintenance, and warehousing teams to manage raw material inventory, equipment availability, and plant maintenance plans.\nQuality & Safety Enforcement: Maintain strict quality control protocols and enforce workplace health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.\n Budget & Cost Control: Track operational expenditures, manage department budgets, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability.\nTeam Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to build a high-performance culture.\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. \nHave at least 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. \nHave experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. \nHave knowledge of ERP systems, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and preventive maintenance programs. \nDemonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, financial, and people leadership skills. \nPossess excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. \nWork in a way that works for you\nThis role offers flexibility to support regular travel between Singapore and Batam while maintaining operational leadership of the manufacturing facility.\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do.
