You will work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to maximize product value, strengthen market position, and support long-term business growth.\nYou will be accountable for the overall health of the portfolio, including strategic planning, new product introductions, technology development, portfolio optimization, and market expansion activities.\nAs a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:\nPortfolio Strategy & Business Growth\nDeveloping and executing product portfolio strategies aligned with business growth objectives.\nSupporting market share expansion and strengthening the competitive position of the FPS portfolio.\nConducting market assessments, customer analysis, and competitor evaluations to identify growth opportunities.\nDefining product positioning, segmentation, and value propositions across target markets.\nPlanning short-term and long-term portfolio strategies based on market and technology trends.\nDeveloping product roadmaps that balance profitability, customer needs, and technology advancement.\nProduct Lifecycle Management\nLeading lifecycle management activities across existing and new products and services.\nDriving successful execution of:New Product Introduction (NPI)\nAdvanced Technology Development\nService portfolio enhancements\nProductivity initiatives\n\nManaging end-of-life strategies and execution for products and services.\nSupporting commercialization of new technologies and solutions.\nCommercial & Financial Performance\nManaging portfolio budgets, timelines, and financial performance.\nDeveloping business cases that demonstrate value and return on technology and product investments.\nSupporting revenue growth through product optimization and portfolio expansion strategies.\nWorking with Commercial and Marketing teams to launch and promote products effectively.\nMonitoring portfolio performance and recommending actions to improve business outcomes.\nCross-Functional Leadership\nLeading a portion of the FPS Product Management team and supporting talent development, engagement, and retention.\nCollaborating with Sales, Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support strategic objectives.\nProviding technical and commercial guidance related to product applications, performance, and customer requirements.\nSupporting alignment between business priorities, customer needs, and technology development initiatives.\nTechnology & Innovation\nAssessing business technologies against market requirements and competitive positioning.\nSupporting technology validation activities with customers and applicable regulatory bodies.\nLeading NPI planning activities and coordinating successful market introduction.\nUtilizing stage-gate product development systems and corporate governance processes.\nIdentifying opportunities that support sustainability objectives and reduce environmental impact across the portfolio.\nIndustry Engagement\nRepresenting Baker Hughes at customer meetings, industry forums, technical events, and professional organizations.\nBuilding strong customer relationships and supporting strategic business opportunities.\nPromoting Baker Hughes technologies, expertise, and innovation within the marketplace.\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nHold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. (Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.)\nBring 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Sales, Operations, Technology, or Technical Support roles.\nDemonstrate experience working with product portfolios and lifecycle management processes.\nHave strong customer relationship and stakeholder-management skills.\nPossess strong business, commercial, and financial acumen.\nDemonstrate the ability to develop and execute product strategies.\nHave experience managing complex initiatives across cross-functional teams.\nPossess strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.\nDemonstrate analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.\nBe comfortable balancing strategic planning with operational execution.\nDesired Characteristics\nStrong understanding of product management principles and lifecycle portfolio management.\nExperience supporting business development and market growth initiatives.\nProven project management experience.\nUnderstanding of inventory management and variable cost productivity initiatives.\nFamiliarity with ISO, API, and other relevant industry standards.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while delivering measurable business results.\nExperience contributing to sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.\nWork in a way that works for you\nThis is a full-time leadership role requiring collaboration across global teams and customer organizations.
