Baker Hughes continues to help customers meet the world’s evolving energy needs through technology leadership, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to sustainability.\nFuel your passion!\nAs a Quality Control Specialist, you'll be responsible for conducting visual, dimensional, and NDE inspections on parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to ensure they meet design specifications and manufacturing requirements. You'll play a key role in identifying defects, raising non-conformances, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality while driving continuous improvement initiatives.\nAs a Quality Control Specialist, you will:\nInterpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures to verify product compliance.\nCarry out visual and dimensional inspections on products, components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.\nUse monitoring and measuring equipment to validate quality requirements.\nConfirm completion of manufacturing operations and ensure inspection activities are accurately documented.\nMaintain inspection records, logs, and calibration documentation for Testing, Measurement, Monitoring and Detection Equipment (TMMDE).\nIdentify and document non-conformances using SAP QN or Oracle NCM, supporting the management of NCRs.\nContribute to root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPartner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and enhance processes.\nWork within business systems including SAP, Oracle BHOS, Agility, and other quality management platforms.\nTake part in quality audits, material review boards, Kaizen events, and problem-solving activities.\nProgram and calibrate TMMDE equipment, where required.\nShare knowledge and support the competency management programme through coaching and mentoring colleagues.\nHelp foster and maintain a positive quality culture across the facility.\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nSolid experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications with confidence.\nProficiency in using precision measuring and inspection equipment.\nExperience with non-conformance management processes and reporting systems.\nFamiliarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.\nWorking knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems is advantageous.\nStrong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
