During the tendering phase, you will lead the PCS engineering contribution to major EPC tenders, working closely with Engineering Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Commercial teams, and customers to develop technically robust and commercially competitive proposals.\nFollowing project award, you may transition into a project execution role, supporting the design, integration, verification, testing, and delivery of subsea control system solutions throughout the project lifecycle.\nAs a Senior Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nTendering & Commercial Support\nLeading the Production Control Systems engineering contribution for EPC tender opportunities.\nSupporting tender studies for subsea control system architecture, design, and technical solution development.\nCollaborating with Commercial and Sales teams to develop competitive technical and commercial offerings.\nReviewing customer specifications and translating requirements into compliant system solutions.\nDeveloping tender documentation, including:Technical proposals\nEngineering write-ups\nTechnical risk registers\nCompliance matrices\nTechnical clarifications\n\nIdentifying and mitigating technical risks during the tendering process.\nSupporting client technical discussions and negotiations to develop solutions that meet customer requirements while optimizing project value.\nEnsuring compliance with Baker Hughes standards and applicable industry regulations for subsea control systems.\nProject Execution\nSupporting the design and development of subsea production control systems using a systems engineering approach.\nManaging requirements capture, analysis, allocation, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.\nDeveloping and maintaining:Functional Design Specifications\nRequirements Specifications\nSystem architecture documentation\nDesign review materials\nSystem models\n\nSupporting the assessment and integration of new technologies and products into project solutions.\nDefining Verification and Validation (V&V) requirements and supporting generation of design verification evidence.\nManaging technical changes through structured change control and impact assessment processes.\nSupporting System Integration, Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and customer acceptance activities.\nCollaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.\nTechnical Leadership & Systems Engineering\nApplying systems engineering methodologies including:Requirements management\nSystems architecture\nIntegration management\nConfiguration management\nRisk management\nTechnical analysis\n\nSupporting engineering excellence through technical guidance and mentoring.\nWorking effectively across engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams.\nParticipating in customer engagements during requirements gathering, bid development, and solution definition activities.\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice development within the engineering organization.\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nHold a Degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.\nPossess significant experience with Subsea Production Control Systems.\nDemonstrate experience supporting subsea engineering projects through tendering, design, or project execution phases.\nHave strong prioritization and organizational skills.\nBe comfortable engaging directly with customers and external stakeholders.\nDemonstrate the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced project environments.\nPossess strong written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nBe willing to undertake occasional international travel when required.\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience\nChartered Engineer status or active progress toward professional registration.\nExperience supporting or leading tendering activities.\nExperience delivering subsea systems or production control system projects.\nKnowledge of systems engineering methodologies and tools.\nExperience supporting system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities.\nWhat will make you successful\nStrong technical understanding of subsea production control systems.\nAbility to balance technical, commercial, and customer requirements.\nEffective stakeholder management and collaboration skills.\nA structured systems-engineering mindset.\nCommitment to technical excellence, continuous improvement, and customer success.\nAbility to support both strategic tendering activities and detailed project execution.\nWork in a way that works for you\nThis role provides the opportunity to contribute to both early-phase commercial opportunities and the execution of complex subsea projects.
