All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality solution that meets the users needs. System Engineering discipline executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.\nThis is a hybrid role which will require system engineering expertise on both tendering and execution projects.\nRoles & Responsibilities - Tendering\nDevelop and submit system engineering technical proposals for client tenders\nLead and coordinate system design activities and tollgate reviews\nPrepare and consolidate Cost-Time-Resource (CTR) estimates for system engineering scope, including alignment across product groups\nManage technical clarifications and exceptions with clients during the bidding phase\nIdentify project risks, assumptions, and qualification gaps early in the tender stage\nRoles & Responsibilities - Execution\nSupport the System Engineering Manager in delivering system engineering scope on assigned projects\nDevelop key system engineering deliverables such as Basis of Design (BoD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering philosophies\nPrepare documentation and materials for system design reviews and technical evaluations\nEnsure effective integration of multiple components and subsystems to achieve optimal system performance and operability\nSupport system requirements management, including specification development and flow-down to subsystems, products, and components\nAssist in validation and verification activities, including system-level testing\nSupport technical interface management across internal teams and external stakeholders\nIdentify and drive technical opportunities for variation orders in collaboration with project engineering leadership\nSupport Critical to Quality (CTQ) assessment and risk trade-offs across multidisciplinary teams\nApply strong technical expertise and understanding of complex engineering concepts within the domain\nCommunicate effectively across teams and present technical insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders\nTravel as required to support and supervise system testing activities\nManage assigned technical scopes, including issue resolution and delivery tracking\nAct as deputy to the System Engineering Manager when required\nContribute to technical aspects of commercial pursuits, ensuring competitive and robust system solutions\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology), along with a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Customer Project Engineering\nHave a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with exposure to subsea production systems\nHave demonstrated ability to motivate teams and drive results in a collaborative environment\nHave a strong commitment to continuous process improvement and operational excellence\nHave a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to define quality standards and prioritize effectively\nHave strong oral and written communication skills\nHave strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities\nHave executive-level presentation and stakeholder engagement skills\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different, and that the way individuals work and deliver at their best varies.
