The role also provides technical guidance, coaches and mentors new technicians, supports development capability, and helps ensure work is executed safely, accurately, and in line with approved procedures.\nPartner with Us:\nPerform complex electromechanical wiring, assembly, testing and troubleshooting, for Drilling Services MWD/LWD assets.\nSupport technicians through technical guidance, work distribution, execution follow up, and quality checks while maintaining primary focus on hands-on execution.\nCoach and mentor new technicians to build technical capability, improve adherence to procedures, and strengthen HSE and Quality awareness.\nPromote a proactive Stop Work culture by identifying HSE, Quality, and process risks and ensuring proper escalation and follow up.\nRaise, support, and drive improvement ideas or projects that contribute to better safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational efficiency.\nSupport root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for complex technical or operational issues.\nEnsure accurate documentation, system updates, traceability records, and compliance with approved procedures and internal standards.\nCollaborate with engineering, quality and material teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance.\nFuel your passion!\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nDiploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical discipline is preferred.\nMinimum of 7+ years of relevant hands-on experience in electromechanical drilling tools, wiring, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or repair operations.\nDemonstrated experience supporting technicians through coaching, mentoring, task coordination, and capability development while remaining actively involved in hands-on technical work.\nProven track record of proactively raising Stop Work actions and addressing HSE, Quality and production operational risks.\nStrong record of raising or delivering improvement ideas, initiatives, or projects that contributed to Drilling Services performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, or efficiency.\nAdvanced troubleshooting capability with the ability to support root cause analysis and practical corrective actions.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to guide teams, coordinate with cross functional stakeholders, and ensure clear execution alignment.\nHigh level of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.\nWorking flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive\nWorking with us\nOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
