You are utilizing machining equipment, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to produce precision tooling that supports manufacturing operations. You are collaborating with production and engineering teams to develop prototype components, improve tooling capabilities, and ensure manufacturing processes remain safe, efficient, and reliable.\nAs a Tool & Die Maker, you are being responsible for:\nDetermining materials and machines needed to fabricate parts according to specifications.\n\nComputing dimensions, planning layouts, and determining assembly methods and sequences of operations for fabrication activities.\n\nMeasuring, marking, and scribing metal stock for machining.\n\nSetting up and operating required machines to successfully and safely fabricate components.\n\nVerifying that fabricated parts conform to specifications and quality standards.\n\nDeveloping prototype parts and tooling solutions when required.\n\nRecording tooling modifications and maintaining tooling history documentation.\n\nPolishing and refinishing parts as needed.\n\nComplying with company productivity, quality, and safety requirements.\n\nOperating forklifts when required to support manufacturing activities.\n\nPerforming additional duties based on workload and business requirements.\n\nFuel your passion\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a high school diploma or GED.\n\nHave a Certificate in CIMM or a related industrial technology discipline preferred.\n\nHave 3+ years of experience in a tool room with a related technical certificate.\n\nHave 5+ years of tool room experience without a related technical certificate.\n\nHave experience fabricating, modifying, and repairing tooling in a manufacturing environment.\n\nHave demonstrated mechanical aptitude.\n\nHave the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.\n\nHave intermediate math and reading skills.\n\nHave working knowledge of lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in the machine shop.\n\nHave the ability to write and modify CNC programs.\n\nHave basic computer skills.\n\nBehavioral\nHave the willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies.\n\nHave strong attention to detail.\n\nHave concern for quality, accuracy, and safety.\n\nHave the ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.\n\nHave a positive attitude and the ability to work well with peers, supervisors, executive management, vendors, representatives, and visitors when called upon.\n\nHave strong teamwork and communication skills.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nHave sufficient motor skills to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery.\n\nHave the ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of a scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly longer when overtime is required.\n\nHave the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.\n\nHave the ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.\n\nHave the ability and willingness to work overtime, including alternate shifts and weekends, as required by business needs.\n\n Work in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
