You will work on a variety of gas turbine and steam turbine components, applying specialized welding techniques and procedures to ensure reliable and compliant repairs.\nThis role requires the ability to work independently, maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality, and support production requirements across multiple shifts as needed.\nAs a Welder, you will be responsible for:\nPerforming visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality requirements.\n\nReading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.\n\nApplying weld overlays to components using TIG and MIG welding processes in accordance with approved welding procedures.\n\nSetting up and welding components within specified welding parameters and quality requirements.\n\nPerforming detailed grinding and finishing operations following weld repairs.\n\nSupporting repair activities on a variety of gas turbine and steam turbine components.\n\nAdhering to company Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.\n\nEnsuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable manufacturing standards and customer requirements.\n\nSupporting production schedules and operational requirements, including shift flexibility when required.\n\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave a High School Diploma or equivalent.\n\nHave 7+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.\n\nDemonstrate experience using foot-controlled TIG and MIG welding equipment.\n\nHave experience performing manual TIG welding operations.\n\nDemonstrate knowledge of welding procedures and repair techniques.\n\nHave experience with SMAW and GMAW welding processes (preferred).\n\nBe able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.\n\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.\n\nHave strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.\n\nAn advanced degree may be substituted for a portion of the required experience.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and work for extended periods during the shift.\n\nAbility to safely lift, handle, and maneuver welding equipment and components.\n\nAbility to perform grinding, welding, and inspection activities in a manufacturing environment.\n\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding-specific protective gear, safety glasses, and safety shoes.\n\nAbility and willingness to work alternate shifts as required to support business needs.\n\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
