As a team with integrity, we create value with impactful decisions by effectively connecting ideas and people\nRole Summary:\nThe Integrated Solutions Well Engineer performs all the well engineering activities within a project or Center of Excellence according to guidelines and processes set out in the Integrated Solutions Management System, international and/or local standards and regulations and customer requirements. The Integrated Solutions WE provides technical input to the well construction, completions, well intervention and abandonment phases, from the concept and tendering stage through project commencement, execution and project close out. During tendering phases, in addition to engineering work, the engineer will be supporting the commercial and procurement teams. During planning and execution stages, the engineer interfaces with stakeholders to ensure safety, well integrity and cost effective job execution. The WE ensures the well design and well program is prepared and detailed procedures are provided to the execution team; the WE is a key contributor during project execution providing follow up, technical input, and operational support.\n Essential Responsibilities:\nThe Integrated Solutions Well Engineer will take the ownership of preparing basic well design, technical requirements, and operational plans to accomplish both Baker Hughes and customer’s technical and financial goals. The well engineer drives close engagement with service delivery, HSE, finance, commercial and sales, and other Baker Hughes product lines.\nIn this role, they will be involved in the planning and execution of Integrated Solutions projects. The main responsibilities are:\nEnsure all engineering activities are in line with HSE policies and procedures, and drive HSE culture by setting example through safe work practices.\nConduct business according to Baker Hughes values\nParticipate in tender bid preparation process for well engineering input.\nParticipate in customer presentations & meetings (may include travel to other locations).\nPreparation of well design, well plan and operational procedures for construction, completion, intervention and/or abandonment of wells in area of responsibility.\nDefine technical services and third party requirements.\nPrepare operational time and cost estimates.\nIn collaboration with internal and external parties, prepare risk register and contingency plans.\nPrepare and participate in peer reviews, peer assists and other quality assurance activities related to the project.\nMonitor daily progress of job(s) or project(s) and monitor operations expenditure.\nEvaluate the application and implementation of best practices and technological advancements to Integrated Solutions operations.\nCommunicate effectively with well site/project stakeholders as needed and make recommendations to drive flawless service delivery and operational excellence as per approved plans.\nMonitor technical and operations KPIs and benchmark against offset well data and pre-defined well objectives.\nParticipate in Root Cause Analysis investigation.\nPrepare all technical reports related to the project including End of Well Report, after action reviews, lessons learned summary.\nComply with data management according to Integrated Solutions procedures.\nKeep abreast of technological and engineering process advancements through affiliation with professional societies and participation in networks, workshops, seminars and training courses Specific Responsibilities: The ‘Well Engineer - Drilling’ will be responsible for all the tasks and activities related to Well Construction projects, with a strong focus on Well Design, Casing Program and Rig Selection. Qualifications/Requirements:\nBachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with MS in Petroleum/Oil & Gas or Well Engineering.\n5+ years of relevant work experience in well construction, completions, intervention and/or optimization: the experience could include drill bits, BHA design, engineering simulations, field operations, preparation of programs/designs, or similar.\nInterpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectives through effective influencing, and establish credibility with senior leaders.\nExcellent analytics and problem-solving, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.\nExcellent English oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages.\nMS office suite, power BI or other analytical tools, well engineering and design software (for example: hydraulics, torque and drag, basic casing design) Desired Characteristics:\nPrevious relevant experience.\nBasic knowledge/exposure to specific applications: conventional rotary drilling, horizontal and/or multilateral wells, pad drilling, unconventional.\nWell Control awareness\nGeo-mechanics knowledge\nStimulation and pumping\nFlexible tubing operations\nExperience with slickline\nKnowledge of TF and rigless operations\nWell repairs\nReports to: Engineering Lead, Region Leader or Engineering Director.\nWork in a way that works for you\nWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
