You'll become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team where technical excellence, professional development, and collaboration are highly valued.\nThis role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects, mentor and develop junior colleagues, strengthen client relationships, and work alongside a network of talented engineers across the UK and Europe.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a Principal Process Engineer, you will:\nSupport the delivery of process engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, commissioning, and operation.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance within multidisciplinary project teams.\nContribute specialist expertise in areas such as:Hazard studies\nCommissioning and qualification\nOptioneering and feasibility studies\nConstructability reviews\nGMP compliance reviews\n\nBuild trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders.\nWork closely with colleagues, vendors, and supply chain partners to deliver successful project outcomes.\nCarry out site visits and surveys where required.\nPrepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation.\nCoach, mentor, and support junior engineers, helping them develop their technical and professional capabilities.\nShare knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're interested in speaking with engineers who bring a combination of technical expertise, professional curiosity, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.\nWhat You'll Bring\nDegree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised university.\nExperience within one or more of the following sectors:Pharmaceuticals\nBiotechnology\nChemicals\nLife Sciences\n\nExperience producing detailed process engineering designs and calculations.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nPrevious experience in a senior or lead engineering capacity.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to balance project priorities while maintaining a high standard of technical quality.\nWhy BakerHicks?\nAt BakerHicks, we recognise that great engineering comes from diverse perspectives and collaborative working.
