Alongside your technical responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and support the development of engineers and technicians, helping to build capability across the wider team.\nYou’ll bring strong experience in Autodesk Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, with knowledge of AutoCAD and an interest in developing the use of BIM and digital engineering across projects.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nLead civil engineering design delivery across a range of projects, taking responsibility for your own design packages and supporting wider project teams.\nProduce design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.\nDevelop practical and buildable solutions across areas such as earthworks, drainage, pavements and external works.\nWork closely with structural and other engineering disciplines to coordinate designs and resolve technical challenges.\nManage the day-to-day delivery of smaller project teams or defined work packages.\nSupport site surveys and construction-stage activities where required.\nEnsure designs meet relevant standards, client requirements and quality processes.\nMonitor and report on project progress, performance and delivery to senior management.\nContribute to tenders, fee proposals and project planning.\nBuild effective relationships with clients, project stakeholders and other disciplines.\nMentor and support engineers, technicians, graduates and apprentices, sharing technical knowledge and encouraging their development.\nPromote a positive approach to health, safety and quality across project delivery.\nSkills & Experience\nEssential\nDegree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.\nChartered or Incorporated Engineer status with ICE.\nStrong technical experience across areas such as earthworks, drainage, pavement design and external works.\nStrong experience using Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.\nKnowledge of 3D underground services coordination.\nExperience delivering projects within one or more relevant sectors.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to develop effective relationships with clients, colleagues and other project stakeholders.\nExperience mentoring and supporting the development of less experienced engineers and technicians.\nWhat you can expect\nWork on varied projects across multiple sectors.\nTake a leading role in technical delivery while continuing to develop your project leadership experience.\nWork alongside experienced civil, structural and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nOpportunities to mentor and develop engineers and technicians.\nSupport for continued professional development.\nFlexible and hybrid working.\nA comprehensive benefits package.\nThe role may also provide opportunities to work on projects across Europe.
