You'll join a supportive environment where collaboration, innovation, and professional development are highly valued.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, procurement support, commissioning, and EPCM delivery. You'll contribute to a variety of technically challenging projects while developing strong client relationships and working alongside talented engineers and designers across the business.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a Senior Process Engineer, you will:\nDeliver process engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and project delivery.\nWork within multidisciplinary project teams to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions.\nLead the process engineering discipline on smaller projects and support senior engineers on larger programmes.\nDevelop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).\nUndertake heat and mass balance calculations.\nProduce process datasheets, equipment specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.\nPerform equipment sizing calculations, pressure drop calculations, and pump sizing activities.\nParticipate in HAZOP studies and other process safety and risk assessment activities.\nDevelop utility system specifications, designs, and capacity assessments.\nObtain equipment quotations and undertake Technical Bid Analysis reviews.\nManage equipment packages and liaise with vendors, including reviewing vendor documentation and technical submissions.\nReview piping design deliverables, including isometric drawings and plant layouts.\nSupport plant layout development and design coordination activities.\nBuild strong working relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.\nCarry out site visits, surveys, and P&ID walk-downs where required.\nDeliver quality engineering solutions in line with project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're interested in speaking with engineers who combine strong technical capability with a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.\nWhat You'll Bring\nDegree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised university.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience within one or more relevant industrial sectors.\nExperience within one or more of the following sectors:Chemicals\nPharmaceuticals\nBiotechnology\nNuclear\nManufacturing\n\nStrong process engineering fundamentals and experience in the design of process plants.\nExperience producing process engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high technical standards.\nWhy BakerHicks?\nAt BakerHicks, we recognise that great engineering comes from diverse perspectives and collaborative working.
