The position partners with Warehouse Operations, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Planning to maintain inventory accuracy, support production continuity, and identify inventory risks before they impact operations. The Inventory Control Lead supports the Supply Chain Manager and Supply planning and purchasing lead in maintaining accuracy, traceability, and compliance for ingredient inventory and contributes to broader inventory control initiatives across the facility.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Functions\nOwn inventory validation of all ingredients, packaging, components, receipts and finished goods, including quantity verification, lot and batch accuracy, expiration and shelf-life validation, material condition, and compliance\nEnsure ERP transactions accurately reflect physical receipts before inventory is made available for use\nPrevent receipt of ingredients into the system without proper validation and documentation\nPrevent dispatch finished Goods into the system without proper physical verification \nPartner with Receiving and Quality to ensure proper material release and compliance\nEnsure inventory transactions (receipts, moves, and consumption) are accurate, timely, and aligned with physical inventory\nValidate ingredient consumption transactions and ensure alignment with production work orders and system records\nInvestigate ingredient consumption variances and partner with Production to identify root causes\nMonitor and audit ERP inventory transactions to prevent discrepancies\nIdentify and escalate system versus physical inventory mismatches\nValidate that ingredients, packaging, components and finished goods are stored in correct locations, properly identified, and aligned with ERP records\nEnsure compliance with FIFO, FEFO, lot traceability, and inventory control standards\nIdentify and address inventory issues including misplaced inventory, incorrect locations, labeling errors, and traceability gaps\nEscalate recurring inventory control issues and drive corrective actions\nExecute cycle counts and support annual physical inventories for ingredient inventory\nValidate alignment between physical inventory and ERP records\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis\nReconcile inventory variances and ensure proper documentation and approvals\nDrive corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce inventory adjustments\nEscalate inventory risks and material constraints to the Supply Planning team\nPartner with Warehouse Operations, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Planning to support inventory accuracy and material availability\nSupport inventory-related audits, traceability exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives\nServe as the subject matter expert for ingredients, packaging, components and finished goods inventory processes, controls, lot traceability, and inventory transactions.\nCoordinate and execute cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory discrepancy investigations.\nAssist in identifying inventory control risks, process gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and compliance.\nServe as a backup resource during staffing shortages, vacations, and peak operational periods.\nRequirements\nExperience:\n4+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain\nExperience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)\nForklift experience \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nSkills:\nStrong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO, and lot traceability\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools\nKnowledge of GMP, SQF, FDA, and inventory compliance requirements\nStrong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred.\nForklift certified is a
