This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.\nEssential Responsibilities\nMachine Setup & Operation\nSet up and operate lathes, slotting machines, and related production equipment.\nRead blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine machining requirements.\nSelect, position, and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.\nSet machine feeds, speeds, and cutting depths according to specifications.\nOperate machine controls and feeding devices to perform production operations.\nAdjust machine settings as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.\nQuality & Inspection\nVerify product dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.\nMonitor machine operation and inspect parts throughout the production process.\nIdentify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or production discrepancies to supervision.\nMaintain compliance with quality standards and work instructions.\nSafety & Housekeeping\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nWear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nPractice safe operation of machinery and material handling equipment.\n* Other Duties as Assigned\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment.\nMechanical aptitude and attention to detail.\nAbility to read and follow work instructions and production documents.\nBasic math and measurement skills.\nPreferred\nPrevious machining, machine operation, manufacturing, or setup experience.\nExperience reading blueprints and technical drawings.\nExperience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.\nForklift experience or ability to obtain certification.\nSkills & Abilities\nAbility to troubleshoot minor machine issues.\nStrong attention to quality and accuracy.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.\nCertifications\nForklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.\nPhysical Requirements\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.\nRegular standing throughout the workday.\nFrequent use of hands, tools, controls, and measuring devices.\nFrequent lifting of up to 10 pounds.\nOccasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to visually inspect products and equipment, including close vision, depth perception, and color recognition.\nWork Environment\nThis position works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:\nMoving mechanical equipment and machinery.\nMetalworking fluids, fumes, and airborne particles.\nModerate to loud noise levels.\nProduction equipment and material handling devices.\nAppropriate training and personal protective equipment will be provided.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nMonoflex is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
