Join us and be part of shaping the future of agriculture and dairy in Algeria. currently seeking an experienced Assets Supervisor to join our team.\nJob Purpose\nThe Assets Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily fixed asset accounting operations, maintaining the accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), monitoring Capital Work in Progress (CWIP/AUC), coordinating physical asset inventories, and ensuring that asset transactions are recorded accurately and on time in SAP S/4HANA.\nThe position ensures compliance with the company's fixed asset policies, CAPEX procedures, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards. It also coordinates with Finance, Controlling, Engineering & Maintenance, Procurement, Production, IT, and other departments to ensure effective control of the company's asset portfolio throughout its lifecycle.\n1. Key Responsibilities\nA. Fixed Assets Accounting\nSupervise the day-to-day maintenance and accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register in SAP S/4HANA.\n\nReview fixed asset additions, capitalization, transfers, reclassifications, and disposals.\n\nVerify supporting documentation, including purchase orders, supplier invoices, goods receipt notes, commissioning certificates, and asset acceptance reports.\n\nEnsure assets are recorded under the correct asset class, description, location, cost center, and responsible department.\n\nReview asset useful lives, depreciation methods, residual values, and depreciation start dates in accordance with approved policies.\n\nExecute or coordinate monthly depreciation runs and investigate posting errors.\n\nReconcile the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger and investigate discrepancies.\n\nEnsure timely completion of monthly and year-end fixed asset closing activities.\n\nReview repairs, maintenance, replacements, and improvements to ensure appropriate CAPEX/OPEX classification.\n\nMaintain complete and organized supporting documentation for all material asset transactions.\n\nB. CAPEX & CWIP/AUC Monitoring\nMonitor CAPEX expenditure and ensure transactions are recorded against the appropriate approved projects, WBS elements, and investment orders.\n\nReview CAPEX supporting documents and verify compliance with approval procedures.\n\nFollow up on outstanding purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices, and project-related costs.\n\nMaintain and review CWIP/AUC balances and prepare periodic ageing reports.\n\nCoordinate with project managers and Engineering & Maintenance to identify completed projects ready for capitalization.\n\nPrepare asset capitalization files and ensure timely transfer of completed projects from CWIP/AUC to the appropriate fixed asset classes.\n\nReview SAP settlement transactions and investigate settlement errors or blocked balances.\n\nIdentify aged, inactive, or potentially non-capitalizable project costs and escalate them to the Assets Manager.\n\nPrepare CAPEX movement reports and explain significant variances between recorded expenditure and project information.\n\nC. Physical Asset Inventory & Tagging\nCoordinate and execute the physical fixed asset inventory according to the approved inventory plan.\n\nOrganize inventory activities across factories, production lines, warehouses, offices, and other company locations.\n\nEnsure assets are tagged with unique identification numbers, barcodes, or QR codes.\n\nVerify asset existence, physical condition, location, serial number, and assigned custodian.\n\nReconcile physical inventory results with SAP asset records.\n\nInvestigate missing, untagged, duplicated, damaged, idle, or underutilized assets.\n\nPrepare inventory discrepancy reports and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant departments.\n\nFollow up on asset movements between locations, departments, cost centers, and company sites.\n\nEnsure inventory evidence, count sheets, reconciliation files, and approved adjustment requests are properly maintained.\n\nD. Asset Lifecycle Administration\nMonitor asset receipts and ensure that identification and registration requirements are completed before installation, where applicable.\n\nCoordinate asset master data creation and updates in SAP.\n\nFollow up on asset transfers, changes in location, changes in custodian, and other master data modifications.\n\nPrepare supporting files for asset retirement, sale, scrapping, or disposal.\n\nCoordinate with Engineering & Maintenance, Procurement, Legal, and Finance to obtain the required disposal documentation and approvals.\n\nEnsure approved disposals are processed correctly in SAP and the related accounting entries are verified.\n\nMaintain records of asset movements and ensure traceability throughout the asset lifecycle.\n\nEscalate damaged, obsolete, idle, or potentially impaired assets for review by the Assets Manager and relevant technical teams.\n\nE. SAP S/4HANA & Reporting\nPerform and review fixed asset transactions in SAP S/4HANA in accordance with assigned authorization levels.\n\nMaintain asset master data and validate links to purchase orders, WBS elements, investment orders, cost centers, and general ledger accounts.\n\nMonitor depreciation postings, asset settlements, transfers, and retirements.\n\nPrepare monthly fixed asset movement schedules and reconciliation reports.\n\nProduce CWIP/AUC ageing, capitalization, physical inventory, and asset movement reports.\n\nInvestigate data inconsistencies between SAP Asset Accounting, Procurement, Controlling, and the General Ledger.\n\nMaintain Excel-based control files and improve the reliability and efficiency of recurring reports.\n\nCoordinate with IT or SAP support teams to resolve system-related issues.\n\nF. Internal Controls & Audit Support\nEnsure compliance with approved fixed asset policies, procedures, and control matrices.\n\nVerify that asset transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and authorization.\n\nIdentify missing documents, unusual transactions, and potential control weaknesses.\n\nPrepare supporting schedules and evidence for internal and external audits.\n\nFollow up on audit recommendations and corrective actions assigned to the fixed asset function.\n\nEnsure the traceability of asset additions, transfers, adjustments, and disposals.\n\nEscalate significant accounting discrepancies, suspected irregularities, and unresolved inventory differences to the Assets Manager.\n\nG. Team & Cross-Functional Coordination\nAllocate daily tasks and supervise the work of fixed asset accountants, inventory officers, or asset administration staff, where applicable.\n\nReview the accuracy and completeness of work performed by team members.\n\nCoordinate with Finance, Controlling, Engineering & Maintenance, Production, Procurement, IT, and asset custodians.\n\nCommunicate asset registration, tagging, inventory, and transfer requirements to operational departments.\n\nFollow up on outstanding actions and ensure that agreed deadlines are respected.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives relating to SAP processes, asset controls, and reporting.\n\n2.
