Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements, and collects premium when applicable.\nReviews existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal.\nCultivates strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners and is responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes.\nLooks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.\nEducation, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:\nAbility to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives\nStrong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites\nAbility to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects\nAbility to work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other Firm business segments\nDemonstrates Firm’s behavioral tenets, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture\nAt least 3-5 years of related insurance experience, or associated industry experience\nObtain and maintain a Property and Casualty state insurance license or other state insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment).Bachelor’s degree preferred\nSpecial Working Conditions:\nFast-paced multi-tasking environment.\nImportant Notice:\nThis position description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing in the role and is not a contract.
