Here, you'll be supported to grow your expertise, own your territory, and make a meaningful impact.\nAbout the Role\nRiver Oak Risk is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead new business generation for our captive management solutions, with a focus on our multifamily risk and large P&C alternative risk structures. You'll build relationships across two channels: the brokerage/distribution network and direct engagement with multifamily owners and operators.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\n· Source, develop, and close new captive management business, with primary emphasis on multifamily and large P&C risk opportunities\n· Build relationships with brokers and distribution partners to generate referrals and co-sell opportunities, while developing direct relationships with multifamily owners and operators\n· Manage the full sales cycle - prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close - and provide ongoing service to support long-term retention\n· Participate in team sales situations with other producers and support staff; may manage overall client relationships in partnership with day-to-day account management\n· Maintain an accurate pipeline and prepare a business plan and production targets, providing regular forecasting on business development activity\n· Represent River Oak Risk at industry conferences, broker events, and client meetings\n· Apply industry expertise to new and existing client sales, and mentor other team members in sales and service best practices\n· Develop cross-functional relationships with underwriting, actuarial, and account management to structure competitive, sustainable captive solutions\nAbout You\n· Required: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of proven enterprise sales experience, with appropriate insurance licensing (or equivalent combination of education and experience)\n· Preferred: Experience in sales into the multifamily ecosystem (owners, operators, REITs, property management) and/or P&C insurance, alternative risk/captive insurance\n· Behaviors: Self-driven and able to act independently; strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable navigating long, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders\nLogistics\nRemote | Travel: 25%+ (Atlanta HQ visits and client/prospect meetings as needed) | Reports to: Senior Managing Director of Business Development\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing in the role and is not a contract.
