The Baldwin Group (NASDAQ: BWIN), takes a holistic and tailored approach to insurance and risk management.The Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that client insurance requirements are met and maintained across assigned accounts. The role reviews Certificates of Insurance and coverage documentation against established compliance criteria and client requirements, manages renewal tracking and certificate follow-up, and coordinates with insurance agents, management companies, and other external partners to obtain and correct documentation. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the Compliance Analyst reviews and interprets insurance policies against required standards, documents deficiencies, escalates complex or non-standard issues to senior compliance colleagues, and prepares monitoring reports for internal and client review. The role protects the interests of the firm and its clients by working accurately within established procedures and maintaining audit-ready documentation.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nCoverage Review & Compliance Monitoring\nReview project and account insurance coverage against the requirements outlined in client agreements, using established compliance criteria and checklists.\nValidate that coverages listed on Certificates of Insurance meet required standards, limits, and specifications, and identify and document any deficiencies or non-compliance.\nReview and interpret insurance policies and property master lists against required standards, escalating complex or non-standard coverage questions to senior compliance colleagues or leadership.\nCompile requests for waivers of insurance requirements and route them, with supporting documentation, to the appropriate leader or account team for approval under established guidelines.\nRenewal Tracking & Certificate Management\nProactively manage insurance renewals by running monthly expiration reports approximately 30 days prior to renewal dates.\nMonitor outstanding renewal documents and conduct timely follow-ups: 10 days prior to the due date for pending certificates, 5 days after the due date, and every two days thereafter by email and/or phone until receipt.\nGenerate and distribute renewal request letters to insurance agents and management companies through the client servicing system, email, or fax.\nUpload and maintain current Certificates of Insurance for compliant policies within the client’s document management system.\nPartner Coordination & Escalation:\nCollaborate with insurance agents and management companies to obtain corrected documentation and resolve routine non-compliant coverage issues.\nServe as a point of contact for standard coverage-compliance questions from clients and external partners, escalating complex or unresolved matters as needed.\nReporting & Documentation:\nPrepare and submit monthly reports summarizing monitoring activities, including outstanding certificates and properties that are not in compliance with insurance requirements.\nMaintain accurate, audit-ready records of compliance status, partner communications, and resolution actions.\nRequired Knowledge & Experience:\nWorking knowledge of commercial and personal insurance coverage types, policy structures, and Certificate of Insurance requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and property master lists against established standards and checklists.\nAbility to identify and document coverage deficiencies accurately and to escalate complex or non-standard issues appropriately.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing coverage and documenting compliance findings.\nAbility to manage multiple renewal cycles and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and the ability to learn agency management and certificate-tracking systems, such as Applied Epic or comparable platforms.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with insurance agents, management companies, and clients.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.\n3-5 years of experience in insurance certificate or coverage review, compliance support, account servicing, or a related insurance operations function preferred.\nExperience reviewing Certificates of Insurance or contractual insurance requirements preferred.\nMust have or obtain 4-40 license within the first 90 days of employment.\nProficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word);
