Dependent on location, candidates will be aligned to either our umbrella, general liability or property programs. This unparalleled opportunity is specially crafted for early-career professionals eager to explore the world of underwriting.\nOur program is designed for those who share our dedication and passion for underwriting and insurance. We prioritize the professional development of our interns, investing significantly in their potential. As part of our comprehensive underwriting program, you will be introduced to our technology, people and processes, as well as immerse yourselves in our culture.\nIn addition to interacting with top C-suite professionals during intern enrichment sessions, you will also get the unique chance to take part in mentorship opportunities for business leaders, learn industry insights and gain practical hands-on experience through shadowing professionals within our dynamic underwriting team and assisting with part of the underwriting process.\nResponsibilities:\nEngage fully in our 10-week comprehensive learning program designed to provide a deep understanding of underwriting and insurance. Over the course of the internship program, you will get hands-on experience as an UW, the ability to work on projects and assignments, and applying your theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. Other responsibilities include:\nPull requested loss runs for accounts\n\nAssist with the submission intake process\n\nComplete non-monetary endorsements such as mailing address changes\n\nAssist team members with tasks such as entering risk information into rater for quoting purposes\n\nShadow team members in every department to learn the business and workflow\n\nRequirements:\nA demonstrated passion for risk management and insurance\n\nPursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Liberal Arts or a related field\n\nThe ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various levels of the organization\n\nThe capacity to work independently while fostering a positive group dynamic\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities\n\nDemonstrated leadership potential through academic, extracurricular activities, internships, or volunteer work\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to new situations quickly\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Python) is a plus\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nAuthorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship\n\nPreferred:\nPrevious internship or work experience in a related field\n\nCoursework or projects involving data analysis, business strategy, or technology\n\nInterest in pursuing a long-term career with our organization\n\nWe welcome early-career professionals to join us in a learning environment where fun coexists with growth, and potential is respected, nurtured, and rewarded.
