This is a full-time position reporting to Terminal Management.\nDay, night, and weekend availability is required, and candidates must be open to working overtime based on operational needs.\nIf you are a reliable, safety-focused individual interested in working in an industrial terminal environment, please review the position details below.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Asphalt Terminal Loader is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of liquid asphalt cement and related materials between railcars, trucks, and storage tanks. This role ensures product quality through proper handling, blending operations, equipment monitoring, and routine maintenance to support continuous terminal operations.\nEssential functions:\nSafely load and unload liquid asphalt cement, polymers, and related materials from railcars and commercial trucks.\nOperate and monitor pumps, blending tanks, industrial scales, and terminal control systems.\nManage pipeline and valve configurations to ensure proper product flow and prevent cross-contamination.\nPerform terminal blending operations according to established specifications.\nConduct routine inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance on terminal equipment.\nGenerate accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs) using computerized systems.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe terminal environment through regular housekeeping.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding safety and operational needs. \nAdhere to all safety rules and perform other duties as assigned.\nThis job description may not list all activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this job. Duties and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\nEducation, Training, and Experience:\nA high school diploma or equivalent is desired but not required.\nPrior experience in industrial labor, construction, manufacturing, or terminal operations is preferred.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nStrong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.\nWillingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime.\nDependable attendance and punctuality are required.\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work on your feet for extended periods.\nAbility to climb ladders, catwalks, railcars, and storage tanks.\nAbility to lift and maneuver 50+ pounds as required.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving and mechanical parts and equipment.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.\nWork environment may include exposure to loud noise, fumes, and industrial equipment.\nThe environment can be noisy at times.\nRequires manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate the equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any applicant.\nOther Requirements:\nDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
