The IT Project manager ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and on budget while adhering to industry best practices and PMO (Project Management Office) stands. This role involves coordinating with operations, corporate departments and external vendors to enable technology that enhances productivity, collaboration and project delivery. Strong communication, risk management and stakeholder engagement skills are essential to navigate complex initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-project setting.\n\nEssential Functions\nDevelop project plans, timelines and milestones for small to medium-sized projects.\nManage resources within allocated budget, often requiring guidance.\nIdentify and mitigate risks at the project level with support from senior staff.\nManage project budgets with some oversight, ensuring projects stay within financial limits.\nEnsure project milestones are met on time and within scope.\nCommunicate project statuses to stakeholders, escalate issues when necessary.\nEngage with stakeholders primarily at the project level, ensuring their needs are met.\nManage vendor relationships with some support, often for smaller contracts.\nLead project teams, often requiring mentorship or support from senior management.\nMake project-level decisions, often deferring complex issues to senior management.\nResolve conflict within project teams, sometimes requiring assistance.\nPossess solid understanding of relevant technologies, tools and methodologies.\nImplement process improvements within projects, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.\nEnsure projects align with departmental or business unit objectives.\nImplement changes within projects focusing on continuous improvement.\nMay mentor junior team members, focusing on project management skills.\nHandle special department projects as assigned.\n\nPromote Customer Relations\nBuild effective relationships with project teams, functional departments, customers, vendors, and user groups that reflect, and support company core values and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.\nActively participate in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image.\n\nCulture, Leadership and Employee Development\nPromote our Creed. position that requires working in the office three days per week and working from home two days per week.\nPeriodic travel may be required.\nEducation, Experience and Knowledge\nBachelor’s degree from four-year College or university with 3-7 years direct work experience in a project management capacity.\nAdvanced certifications such as PMP, CAPM, specialized IT management or equivalent professional training a plus.\nStrong familiarity with project management software.\nCompetent and proficient understanding of platforms, such as JD Edwards, Microsoft technologies, IBM technologies.\nExperience working independently as well as within a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAdapts to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analysis and problem-solving.\nAbility to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and staff.\nPersuasive, encouraging, and Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including internal team, upper management, clients, and other
